BEAUTY REVIEW: MARIO BADESCU ♡

Today I'll be testing out two products that Luxola.com has sent over to me. I'm pretty excited as I've seen a few beauty bloggers trying out these products from Mario Badescu.
As not many might know but I have combination and more towards oily skin, mostly due to Malaysia's humid hot weather as when I travel to winter countries the oiliness is a minimum. So I have to maintain and control my oil excretion as best as I can to avoid breakouts and clogged pores.
Here I have the Mario Badescu Anti Acne Serum (RM105) on the left and Silver Powder (RM67.50) on the right.

Let's start with the Silver Powder.
"This super absorbent powder which unclogs congested pores, prevents blackheads and promotes an overall healthier complexion. Titanium dioxide and zinc oxide are natural astringents that clear and tighten the pores on your skin, particularly on and around the T-zone."
Opening the package was a bit of a hassle as some of the powder spilled out while doing so. So becareful and gentle when removing the metal film! Using a damp cotton I picked up some of the product to spread on my T-zone area (picture on the left).
Leaving the powder on for 10 minutes and then gently removing it using my every day toner (pic on the right). Immediately I noticed a slight difference as my skin around the nose was smoother. Upon looking upclose, I was amazed to see that most of the clogged pores were clear, which also meant less blackheads. So imagine using this as directed which is twice a week! Definitely a huge difference then!
Next was the Anti Acne Serum.
With my T-Zone clean and prepped, with clean hands, just a squeeze of the product would go a long way. Because of its small nozzle and easy handling, this would be my fave product for control oil build up from now onwards!
This serum keeps breakouts at bay by just applying a thin layer of this salicylic acid based gel on to acne prone areas in the evening to keep your skin staying clear and smooth.
It is formulated for use on even the most sensitive skin (yay!) and contains the all important salicylic acid to prevent and manage acne prone skin without over drying.
As my T-zone was cleared and prepped by the powder, application of the serum was a breeze. My skin absorbed the product immediately, I was left with smooth oil free skin! Can't wait to see the results on the long run.
I would recommend these products to anyone who has problems with oily congested skin. If you're just looking to combat or control acne growth, you could just do with the serum. Or if you're keen on clearing blackheads and clogged pores go with the Silver Powder! Either one you won't be disappointed.
