Dior HOMME – Sneakers – 2017 Collection

Every modern man needs a nice pair of sneakers, and for the modern fashionista who aspires to wear something different, there’s the new spring 2017 sneaker collection by Dior Homme designed by Kris Van Assche. There are seven exceptional shoe styles which are a unique departure for the house of Dior – exhibiting a bold, visual identity that resonates with the rebellious spirit of the runway collection.

A colourful and graphic spirit emerges through a variety of artisan techniques, creating a new proposition of footwear to pair with a casual look, a tuxedo or formal suit. Built on a broad moulded sole first seen in the winter 2016 collection, each sneaker exhibits a robust, masculine edge reflected in coated steel hardware and varnished cotton laces.

In either low or mid-top, slip-on or lace-up styles, each custom leather upper evokes a different facet of the Dior Homme universe, from the monochrome elegance of a matte and brilliant glitter finish to flocked velvet stains applied to a sequin base. One spazzolato mirrored leather features an airbrushed gradient from silver through bright blue and black, whilst another crackles with white paint applied to a black base. Two styles replicate Dior’s iconic ‘Prince of Wales’ check in an embossed grey leather splashed with white or multicoloured paint, inspired by leather goods from the spring 2017 collection.

The Dior homme sneaker collection provides a sense of polished utility and evolves a contemporary vision of formal dressing for the modern man.

This new collection is exclusive to Dior Homme boutiques, and arrives in stores in November 2016.

To illustrate this new sneakers collection, Dior homme and Larry Clark combine their creative talents to give birth to “A Larry Clark Project | Paris Session”. The film directed by Larry Clark presents the Spring 2017 Dior HOMME collection with a special focus on the new sneakers.
